HISTORY
Winning Colors Paso Finos is a mother-daughter business operating on "THE ROAD" (105 Lane) in Anthony, Florida, a small town just north of Ocala. What started out  24 years ago  (1984) as a family interest (Gray Barn Paso Finos in Crabapple, Georgia), has now grown to be a full-fledged Paso Fino business. Prior to falling in love with the Paso Fino breed,  the family owned hunter/jumpers and miniature horses since 1975. With both a location and a name change, Winning Colors Paso Finos today offers top stallions standing at stud, offspring from internationally-recognized stallions, world class training, international and national showing, amateur-owner coaching, sales that have expanded from the United States to Germany and Canada, and pure down-home love and attention to the horses that call Winning Colors home.  The name of the farm was inspired by the filly Winning Colors who won the Kentucky Derby since the farm was female-powered, and by the fact that Kelley has gathered many ribbons of "winning colors" in her show career.  The move to Ocala from Crabapple (Metro Atlanta), Georgia was made in  June 1996 with 23 horses.  We had 24 stalls and 5 paddocks. The farm, as of this date, has about 120 horses in residence,  53 stalls, and 15 pastures and paddocks. We have been truly blessed with many wonderful loyal clients and friends who entrust us to care for their beloved horses.

KELLEY COX - TRAINER/OWNER
Kelley Cox is Winning Colors’ trainer. At 32  years of age, she has accomplished much in the Paso Fino world. Kelley was the youngest Paso Fino judge, getting her card at age 19. She has been riding horses since 6 (hunter/jumpers), Paso Finos since 10. She has been named High Point Youth at the Paso Fino Nationals, and she has won Grand World Champion on our stallion Misterio de Besilu in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1995 at the Confepaso Mundial. Since then Kelley has competed in Venezuela and Ponce, Puerto Rico, as well as  numerous shows in the United States. Kelley won her first National Champion title for a client’s horse when she was 13. She has traveled to Colombia,  Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico to see, judge, and compete in world class shows and to visit other Paso Fino farms. Kelley believes in keeping current with the Paso world in order to best help her clients and their horses. Kelley also commutes to U of F in pursuit of her Bachelors of Science degree in Equine Biology which should be completed in December 2007.

BARBARA COX BARAGANO - MANAGER/OWNER
A single entry in an eleven year old girl's journal under the heading of AMBITIONS read:  "One day I want to own a horse farm."  Barbara Cox Baragano has been a horse lover for as  long as she can remember and this dream of owning  a horse farm has come true through the talent of her daughter Kelley. Although Barbara’s riding skills are amateur-ish in the show ring, she did have her day in the ring in the past through the talents of her wonderful mare, Sirena de Coral Mako.  After attaining  Reserve National Champion A/O Pleasure Horse in 1991, she retired from the show ring to manage the farm and  to run a very successful  consignment horse and farm website which was started by her talented older daughter Heather.  A caution to anyone who makes a wish - you just might get what you wish for!!   :) In 2003 Barbara acquired a wonderful Fino mare, Nomina de La Quinta Real and had a dream come true winning A/O Reserve National Champion Classic Fino Mare - only to be beaten by her husband, Fernando Baragano on La Millennia de Colores, a daughter of one of the farm's first founding mares Macarena de Besilu.  It was a very proud family affair!

FERNANDO BARAGANO - AGENT IN PUERTO RICO
Fernando was one of the lucky ones who grew up as a child riding Paso Fino horses in his home country of Puerto Rico.  He has been riding ever since and is great competitor in the Amateur Owner show ring as well as breeder and judge. Fernando has had some great successes in the shows with 2004 being quite a highlight for him as he won two Grand Championships with two National Championships as well.  Barbara and Fernando met in Puerto Rico at a PFHA meeting and were married in 2004.

WINNING COLORS PASO FINOS
Winning Colors believes in breeding for the best. Bloodlines in a breeding farm is like location in real estate - one of the most important things  for value and investment. We keep improving our own stock continuously. We  have horses for sale, in various stages of training and ages.   Besides our horses, one of our biggest  sources  of pride is our reputation. We are known for our honesty, integrity and hard work. As a result, we have built up a clientele of repeat customers, and we want to keep things that way! Although we have many horses to care for these days, we still give them our personal attention and care  which gives us the ability to cater to the needs, physically as well as mentally, of each horse. We treat our clients’ horses as if they were our own!

http://www.winningcolorspasos.com started out as a Master's project done by Heather Cox.  It's popularity has spread over the world, and we have many daily visitors to our site.  http://www.pasos4sale.com came about as a result of many of our friends and clients needing  help in getting their horses presented to a large audience of potential buyers.  Both sites have been super successful , and we thank all of you who either "window shop" or who have actually either consigned or bought through our sites! Winning Colors offers quality horses for sale at affordable prices, stallion stud-service on premises or AItraining, showing, boarding, breeding, sales, show judging,  and consulting. We would love to help you realize YOUR dream in the Paso Fino world, as we have realized ours!
